Monique grew up in Northwest Arkansas and is an avid football fan and an alumnus of the University of Arkansas. Monique became interested in exercises, rehabilitation, physical therapy, and helping others to become their best after sustaining an injury that left her medical team telling her she would never be able to walk normal or run again. Through her passion for exercise, physical therapy, rehabilitation, and the power of a positive outlook Monique is now able to participate in all prior recreational activities, runs half marathons, and believes that no one should be told they will never accomplish their dreams.
Monique received her Bachelor of Science degree with an emphasis in exercise physiology from the University of Arkansas where she worked as a personal trainer and group exercises instructor through schooling for 7 years where she worked with clients from collegiate athletes, weekend warriors, and geriatrics.
Once persuaded to obtain a career in physical therapy she attended the University of Central Arkansas to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy and also achieved awards for excellence in research and excellence in service. Monique is now a Doctor of Physical Therapy where she works in Florida in an outpatient setting to help rehabilitate people from injuries to return to their prior level of function or stronger to reach their individualized goals.
Monique’s passion is to give people back their spirit and drive after sustaining injuries and to educate and prevent others from not setting themselves up for injury. Monique is also very passionate about program design for home workouts for all levels of fitness in order to individualize workout plans across time. She enjoys anything being outdoors, running, working out, food, traveling, and being surrounded by friends and family.
